As a retired Property Management business owner, the author spent a decade running her business in the NE of England before moving abroad in 2016, with dreams of living a new life in Spain with her partner.
That dream shattered in September 2020 and with very little financial security, living “precariously” in a property that her partner had once declared their first home together. The author used her knowledge and skills to research and write her debut creative non-fiction book.
Lifelong Learner,
As a Lifelong learner, studying personal development and now digital marketing. Her previous writing skills were used in the Charitable Trust Fundraising sector, where she started writing funding letters for local Youth and Community Organisations in the City where she lived.
The author explains how she has now experienced what she calls the three D’s in relationship endings. “Divorce”, “Death” of a partner and now the abrupt termination or sudden “Discard” by her third long-term partner.

Threat Of Eviction
The author currently works on rebuilding her life, whilst still living at the Spanish villa, under the threat of “precarious eviction” after the ex-partner took Civil action in the Spanish Courts, despite ten attempts to negotiate or mediate over the past three years since August 2020. Her first book is raising awareness of hidden emotional abuse in relationships and post-separation. She also highlights the legal challenges, conflicts and gaps in the laws in the UK and Spain and many other countries that do not automatically recognise defacto or cohabiting relationships. Some countries go so far as to have laws that aid abusers to cause emotional, psychological and financial devastation post-separation.
While dealing with the trauma of the post-separation legal actions and injustices in the Spanish legal system. After self-publishing her first book, the author suffered further grief and trauma. She discovered that the professional organisations are not very supportive at all. With the Court ruling on making her potentially homeless, the stress has been enormous.
Due to the ongoing litigation in the Spanish Courts from the former partner she launched a petition with Change Org
Mandate Legal Mediation As A First Option In Divorce And Separation.
As a human rights activist who has supported numerous individuals with legal and social issues, she is now fighting for her human rights while seeking Justice and vindication in the Spanish courts.
Campaign For Women’s Rights
The author recognises that the campaign for women’s rights is still ongoing, having experienced injustice and discrimination in the Spanish judicial system.
For this reason, she has decided to create a non-profit for social impact in Spain where she currently resides. To support other women and campaign together for the rights of women to live free from violence and discrimination; to enjoy the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health; to be educated; to own property; to vote; and to earn an equal wage.
